PERFORM HISTORY II - Århus Kunstbygning

A one-day exhibition organised by U-TURN Quadrennial for Contemporary Art
in collaboration with Århus Kunstbygning

November 2 2008 4-8pm at Århus Kunstbygning, J.M. Mørks Gade 13, 8000 Århus C

Perform History II includes performances by artists like Adam Pendleton, who performed at this years Manifesta and in 2007 at Performa in New York. Earlier this year Complaints Choir and Lilibeth Cuenca performed at U-TURN in Copenhagen with great success.


The program consists of a varied selection of live performances and film screenings
4.00pm Welcome by curator Pernille Lyngsø, introduction to the one-day exhibit by curator Solvej Helweg Ovesen and photo presentation of Daniel Knorr (RO), Stolen History, 2008

4.30pm Perfomance by the Danish Complaints Choir, concept by Tellervo Kalleinen & Oliver Kockta Kalleinen (FI/DE) arranged by composer Esben Bladbjerg (DK)
5.00pm Performance by Adam Pendleton (US) Black Dada, 2008
5.30pm Soup
6.00pm Re-enactments by Lilibeth Cuenca (DK), Never Mind Pollock (Woman on Painting), 2008
7.00pm Film screening by the artists group Chto delat / What's to be Done? (RU), Perestroijka SongSpiel, Victory over the coup, 2008
7.30pm Surprise

Exhibition Details
Admission: Reduced admission for everyone: DKK 25,- for the whole event. It's recommended that the visitors participate in the whole one-day exhibition, but it's also possible to come for just one performance. Soup can be bought for DKK 20,- U-TURN catalogue DKK 200,-.
