Opening FOOD FOR THOUGHT

On Saturday the U-TURN exhibition satellite FOOD FOR THOUGHT will open in the closed down Sugar Factory in Stege, Moen. The exhibition takes its point of depature in a series of old fluxus pieces, and through a number of new works, it draws lines to the contemporary art.
The opening weekend offers the performance programme 24-TIMER (24 hours) and a workshop lead by Freie Klasse Berlin with guests such as Rirkrit Tiravanija and Superflex.
PROGRAMME
Saturday 26 July
12pm - 1pm: Exhibition opening, Thora Andersen (SUK) Birte Helth (Vordingborg City), Jens Ravn (Region Sealand), Judith Schwarzbart (Curator U-TURN) Bj�rn N�rgaard & Henning Christiansen (participating artists).
1pm - 4.15pm: The performance programme 24 TIMER (24 hours) with Olof Olsson: heavy banana , Lilibeth Cuenca: Artist�s Song 2 A Void- painting! og Roi Vaara: Below the surface.
4.15pm - 4.30pm: Presentation of the workshop on Sunday.
6pm: the exhibition closes, but the bar is open.
Sunday 27. July, 12pm-10pm
Workshop lead by Freieklasse Berlin ( freieklasse.de ) with contributions by Rirkrit Tiravanija and Superflex.

Travel to and from Stege
Take the train to Vordingborg st. and bus no. 62 between Stege and Vordingborg.
On Saturday 26 July a special shuttle will leave from Vordingborg st. at 11.30am, which connects with the train departing from Copenhagen Central Station at 10.03am. The shuttle leaves from the Sugar Factory in Stege at 4.30pm, which connects with the train departing at 5.23pm arriving at Copenhagen Central Station at 6.45pm.
